UPDATE 30 NOVEMBER 2017

It is getting a little colder around here in the mornings as we are almost into December.  The horses got put out in the meadow the other day since hunting season is over.  Boy they were glad to be out there let me tell you.

Some weeks ago when I was cleaning the gutters I had a lot of help from a number of nuthatches.

Dell in one of her favorite places - the rug in front of the fire!!!

A couple of pictures of how Connie watches TV!!!  Two of the three are asleep.

Corvallis American Legion folks up in Missoula where we did two funerals the other day at the Western Montana Veterans Cemetery.  One was quite sad as it was a veteran who had no family and no one claimed the body.  Our local funeral home stepped up and coordinated it all and we gave him a proper burial.

The first sun hitting the tops of the mountains.

Dog and cat getting brushed after our morning walk.

UPDATE 23 NOVEMBER 2017

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

We are doing quite well here up in Montana.  Getting quite a bit of moisture this fall.  Some in the form of snow and some rain.  Our little ski resort has opened but very limited skiing.  We have not been up there yet - will wait for more snow.  Hunting season is winding down.  Only a few more days.

UPDATE 5 NOVEMBER 2017

Been quite a bit of time since my last update.  Hunting season opened and started out very well but not so good after the first day.  We have had some snow which is not unusual.  I had an old high school friend die of cancer and attended his celebration of life over in Wisdom.  Our friends Tom and Nancy from Moab stopped by for a night on their way to Washington.  And Ross and Brenda are here doing some hunting.

Cleaning elk with help of a tractor makes it a lot easier.

The turkeys show up to clean up the oats in the corral.

Lots of snow on my drive over to Wisdom and back.  That is Lost Trail ski resort in the background.  And there were tracks on the south face.
