UPDATE 26 JUNE 12

We were visited by Shelley, Sheryl, and Reese for a few days a few weeks ago.  I am running a little behind in posting on the blog as you can probably tell.  We had a great time with them.  Reese (Shelley's granddaughter) got to do some horse back riding.  She is "hooked" on horses - kind of like Connie was at her age I guess.  We also did some hiking, cooked a few marshmallows over the campfire, and ate a lot of good food.  Ryan (Shelley's son & Reese's father) came up for a few days and took Reese back to Utah.  Shelley and Sheryl headed back over to Washington.

Reese riding Jack in the arena.

Sheryl, Reese, and Connie taking a ride out in the woods.  They got to see some elk which always makes the ride more enjoyable.

We took them on a hike up to the falls at Como Lake and saw this Osprey on her nest.

Cooling off their feet.

Connie and Reese headed out to catch horses.

They got to see lots of wildlife while here.  Click to enlarge and you can see a doe eating on our rose bushes!

Our slab always gets covered with art.

Sitting around the campfire.

Reese seems to like her "smors".

On the trail to the falls.

They are sitting along the falls taking a well deserved rest.

The Indian Paint Brush was all over.

We did get to see a number of elk on our hikes.

Never seen this bug before.  It was right in a mineral lick.

UPDATE 5 JUNE 12

Just a quick update.  We have been a bit busy around here.  Went down to Salt Lake City to nephew Austin's wedding last month and had a great time.  Austin and his new bride Kiley made a great couple.  Got to see a number of nieces and nephews we have not seen for some time so that was nice.  Also got to see Aunt Jane who is 93(?).  She is looking pretty good though.  Stopped by the ranch on our way home and had a nice visit with them.  They got a little moisture in the form of wet snow and they sure needed it.  The high country is starting to green up.

Our resident old tom.

Connie and Aunt Jane sharing a laugh.

Austin and Kiley look like they are shaking on their deal of marriage.

A few pictures while waiting for the Martinell crew to get a few pairs in a new pasture.

This red tail seems to be missing a few feathers.
