REPLACEMENT KNEE

Got my knee replaced last week so have not been able update the blog  I am not supposed to sit more than 30 minutes, 3 times per day.   If I am not doing exercises or walking, I am suppose to be laying down with my leg up.   Operation went well and the rehab seems to be going pretty well also.

Waiting in the pre-op.

Doing some exercises in my room after the operation.

My room.

Will have to ask the Doc why he made the incision a little crooked!!

UPDATE 13 OCTOBER 2014

We are still getting the fall things done around here, but most of it is done now.  The time frame for some of it was shortened as I have to get my knee replaced this week.  We got the horses over to Tracy and Angie's the other day so they won't be around here for the hunting season.  Left two horses here, Bill and Stryder, as Connie uses them in here jumping classes.

A clematis going to seed.

Connie's geraniums are still going strong.

Dell, like her predecessor May, likes to mess up the rug by the sliding door.

And we still have elk going through in the mornings and evenings.

I was working on the stock waterer the other day and had plenty of help from the cat.

She took time out to get a drink though.

UPDATE 7 OCTOBER 2014

Not much has been going on around here.  We are still experiencing some nice fall weather so it makes it a little hard to get things prepared for winter.  The leaves are really changing although we think it is not as colorful as years past.  We have not had a hard freeze yet so that may be the reason the leaves are not as colorful as in the past.  The elk are still around every few days.  It has been fun walking in the mornings and hearing the bulls bugling.  But we also heard them the other night along with our fence on the north side of our property squeaking as they were passing through.  It wasn't that bad when I checked it the next morning, but they were not running just walking their way down to the hay fields along the creek.  Have watched a few Corvallis High School football games this fall and they are doing pretty well.

One of the bulls we were watching bugle and head to their daytime spot.  Click on photo to enlarge.  Not the best quality as it was taken with my little camera and the light was not that good as it was early in the morning.

Doug's step son is on the football team and made a great fumble recovery during one of the kickoffs.

Corvallis has a good team this year and the scoreboard reflects this as it is 13 to nothing on an away game to Stevensville a town just down the road.  And this is in the first quarter with not much time off the clock.  I think the final score was 58 to zip.

Nice evening to watch the sunset and a high school football game.

Corvallis has some big guys on their team.
