RODEO IN DARBY, MONTANA

Went up to the rodeo in Darby about a week ago with quite a few friends from the American Legion.  We got a box which was nice as it included a lot of things to eat and a good place for many who had never been to a rodeo to watch what goes on down in the chutes below the box.  I chose to not be there but around in another viewing area to take pictures.  Our Grandnephew Jackson was one of the pickup men so took quite a few pictures of him of course.  Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Looking out the back of our box we had.  This shows the bucking stock (bulls and horses) in their pens.

This is Jackson our Grandnephew one of the pickup men.

This bronc rider is not doing so good!

As you can see, he is not on the horse anymore.

Jackson removing the bucking strap from the bronc before he leads him in behind the chutes.

This bronc rider is showing nearly perfect form.  His feet are out in front of the shoulders as the bronc's front feet are about to his the ground.  He will bring them back along the side of the horse when the makes the next jump. This guy just had really good form and placed.

Bull riding is always a little exciting to watch. This guy is sticking to the bull pretty good.

Jackson waiting for the next bull rider.

Thought this was pretty funny with the bull riders feet sticking up in the air as he really got bucked off.

Jackson's mom maybe giving him some advice or critique????

This bull was a little bit ornery. He put the clowns up on the fence.

Jackson roped him and here he is dragging him towards the pens.

It took quite awhile to get the bull in the pen and a couple of guys got hurt.

A thunderstorm was building just as the rodeo got over with.

A FEW PICTURES OF CONNIE'S FLOWERS

The flowers around Connie's lawn are looking pretty good right now.  We have had some hail storms that beat them up pretty bad but they are recovering.  I wondered around the yard the other day and took a few pictures.

Some really heavy rain and hail storms have hit our valley this summer.

Connie's jumping take so far this summer.
