THE WEATHER HAS CHANGED
The temperature last night went from 15 above to 38 above during the night with snow turning to rain - freezing rain. Made scraping the windshield on the feeding pickup pretty hard this morning. By afternoon, the temps were in the mid 40's and the snow was melting. We are glad. Tonight it is raining. Got the camper on the pickup this afternoon and will start loading it tomorrow. And the forecast is for warmer temperatures. Looking at heading south on Thursday.
THE SNOW IS GETTING DEEP AROUND HERE
We still are getting a lot of snow. Records are being set right and left. A little cool also. It did make it out of the single digits today though. And rain is in the forecast - with warmer temperatures also. We sure would like to see that. Got to get the camper on the truck so we can head south to the desert.
The snow is getting piled up around our driveway area.
The body heat of the horses does not melt the snow on their backs with the temps near zero.

A view I am getting way too much of, that of piling up snow with the tractor.
We did a little skiing around here today. Connie has gotten her old wood cross country skis out and been cruising around on them.
I put the skins on my backcountry skis today and spent a little time making snake tracks down the sledding hill - skiing down and skinning up.
Skinning up to the sledding hill.
