LAST PICTURES FROM LEE'S FERRY

We did a lot of hiking around Lee's Ferry and also some to the east of there.  Also went down to the condor viewing area and only saw one condor.  They are really making a comeback in that area though.  The ranger told us there were 7 of them soaring around Navajo Bridge the other day.

We walked down Soap Creek towards the Colorado one day.

From the condor viewing area.

The Lonely Dell Ranch at Lee's Ferry.

This place has quite a history and lots of fruit and apple trees.

The Paria River.

The old corrals at the ranch.

This old chute has not loaded cattle in quite some time but still looks good.

The Paria is always muddy.

The cemetery at the Lonely Dell Ranch.
The campground at Lee's Ferry was really crowded one night.  We have camped there for many years and have never seen this many campers.  They were camping in areas that were not designated for camping.  Where are all these people coming from?

LEES FERRY

We got our first snow of the year/season today and it was pretty wet.  Not much just about 3 inches but will sure make the corrals muddy.  And the temperature will drop tonight.  So yesterday with that kind of forecast I got our camper all winterized.  And we covered a few flowers last night.

Our friend Pam from Utah stopped by for a visit and it is always great to visit with her.  We took her for a horse back ride to the east of our place.  Also did a drive up Willow Creek and was surprised how smooth the road was.  We had heard they had graded it this summer as they are going to do some logging up there we hear.

The view of the valley from higher up Willow Creek.

Lots of color along the road also.

Pam riding Bill and Connie on Peg.  Connie kept her helmet on after doing some jumping on Blu. Then I rode Blu for our little ride.  She is a great horse and smooth riding so I like to ride her.

The Mexican Daisies look a little cold with the snow on them.

This is the first time this Century Plant has ever had snow on it I'll bet!
