Quite a lightning strike on this old tree!
These are the elk that did not have any calves with them. They were also moving in broad daylight which we usually do not see. And this is in the sagebrush flat area not very far from our place.

NICE DAY
We really had a nice warm day on Saturday. The wind blew a little, but overall it was just great. Busy trying to get some work done around the place and ride horses to get them in shape to move cattle in the next few weeks. We are seeing elk every day we ride. Ran in to a dozen cows yesterday and there were no calves with them which is a little troubling. Maybe they just haven't calved yet, but predators may have gotten them.

Bill says he loves the "Poptart" pic (you have to figure out which one that is). He also likes the Western Bluebird shot.
Looks so green there, don't think I've ever been there when it looked that way.
