We went for a nice bike ride up the Forest Service Road 60 and then did some paved riding on the road towards Tonto Basin. We also did some 2-track road off of 60, but I am not very good at that. Rocks were too big for me. Have been riding the bikes a lot since we moved over to this side of the lake. Lots more places to ride over here. We also checked the forecast and they are predicting a lot of wind, rain, and cooler temperatures. We thought it best if we moved our camp to the FS campground just down the road so we would not have to put up with blowing dust or mud. It is a nice campground that never gets used. I guess because you have to ford the river to get over here. We are the only ones here. They have closed part of it and that part is really neglected. They have nice pit toilets and used to have water but that has also been shut off. Can’t believe they spent all the money to put this big campground in and it doesn’t get used.
This is a roadrunner that Connie caught early in the morning making some noise like a dove. Have never heard them do their call before.
Here is some old ruins that are by our campsite.
Our bike riding area.
That is a raven sitting on the nest.
