The fire up Lost Horse is getting better. The fire fighters are making progress and the valley is not as smoky as it was a couple of days ago. We have been seeing quite a few baby elk on our walks. Sometimes don't get the camera out quick enough but did get a couple of pictures the other day.

This little fellow hit our sliding glass door and was a little shaken but recovered and flew away. Pretty sure it is a red breasted nuthatch baby. |

This doe was laying just by the trail and watched the dog and then us go by and never moved. |
