We said good bye to our active duty troops with a dinner and then put them on the plane the next morning back to the Tacoma area. I will say that it was a little hard to say goodbye to these 4 soldiers. We all kind of bonded with these soldiers. This was our first try at the reconnect with active duty folks, and I now have more confidence in our military after being around these individuals who are fighting for us in these times. They are smart, confident, and inspiring. I really hope our Corvallis American Legion Post in some way helped these young military folks to continue their commitment to our country.

For some reason, Chris never wears his hat the right way!!! But then again he is not a cowboy! |

And here is John in the copilot seat flying the troops back to Joint Base McCord-Lewis. John just barely fits in the seat - but what a guy!! |
