We have always wanted to get to a place near Quartzsite that is called dripping springs. There are petroglyphs there and some reports say they were quite a few. So we figured out how to get there sort of and took off to find it. The directions we had were not the best and google did not seem so sure it knew either. We were stopped at the top of a hill checking maps and directions when a side by side came by with a young couple in it. They had been there a few days before and pointed out about where it was and and what to look for to make the final turn. The road was one of the steepest we had been on that is for sure. Our little old jeep did a good job and we made it. Turned out to be a pretty fun day and the petroglyphs were pretty good also. Maybe not up to what we had heard though.

And a gps is always handy! |

This was the steepest part down to the spring area. |

Some of the petroglyphs were pretty unusual and we had not seen before. |
