Connie and I headed up to Lincoln, Montana to see the Sculpture of the Wild there. Connie had read about this online and was pretty intrigued with what she saw. So, for our Sunday Drive this is where we headed.
An old tepee burner converted to a museum sort of. |
There were a lot of old black and white photos of logging in days past. Horse and man power were what was prevalent back then. I really enjoyed seeing these pictures. |
Big cross cut saws. |
Mechanized saws for cutting lumber in slabs. |
Horses were used a lot! |
And the sculptures were quite different but interesting. |
Burned wood on the outside but inside was some very well sanded and sealed wood. |
Took quite some time to cut these pieces of wood out. |
There were 30,000 news papers made up this sculpture! |
