We left the
Bitterroot on 3 September and headed down to Georgetown, ID and camped in a
forest service campground about 7 miles out of town. No one was there when we got there but a
sheep herder, his dogs, and a lot of sheep.
I don’t know the exact number, but think he had a band which is
generally around a 1000. There were lots
of them I know. Night was pretty cool
and the truck did not want to start in the morning. But it did on the second try and we headed
down to Flaming Gorge where we met Bill and Marney. More posts to follow.
Some of the sheep.
The herder.
