7 March 2020: Gary
and Georgine arrived the other day and we are all camped out in the BLM south
of Ajo, AZ. We have camped at this site
many times and call it the Bandito site as this was where we had some trouble
with illegals trying to steal stuff out of Gary and Georgine’s pickup. Long story short, guns were drawn and most of
the stuff was recovered. One person
arrested. Sheriff came and picked him
up. What is crazy is it happened on a
night of a full moon. And a full moon is coming up pretty fast and we are
camped in the same place!!! But we do
have some either Army folks or border patrol folks set up about a mile south of
us on a hill. And with the border fence
being built south of us, they are probably trying to get across while the
getting is good. We have been doing some
great hikes around here and also been out on the gunnery range checking out all
the flowers.
And the big news for Connie and I is that we got the truck
all fixed up and the extended warranty covered all of the cost to get it
replaced because of the low miles on the pickup. Wahoo!
