This will be a little mixed up as a post because my old computer is having a few problems. It seems to have a mind of it's own tonight - puts things where it wants to and not where I want it to. But it is probably right because I have some how got it confused - not sure how or when I did it but it is usually right.
Connie and I decided to take a drive east of our place up Willow Creek road since they did some work on the road up there. A big new culvert where the old one washed out last year in a heavy rain storm.
The road is in really good shape and they will be doing some more work on it I am sure before they start a logging project up there. Of course they have to get it approved as a judge threw out their last attempt at logging up there as the plan did not meet his expectations.
These are the Como Peaks behind Como Lake with El Captain on the far right as seen from a wide spot on the road as we climbed in altitude.
The view looking due west.
We ran into snow quicker than we thought we would.

The places where the sun hit the road were bare.

If you look at the center of the picture you will see a new house being built. They will have a great view but lots of snow to plow

The trees are very thick in some places and also have died.

Some early flowers.

This is the end of the road. The Forest Service has closed this road here as it enters private land.

Trees marked to be cut down. |

Lots of moss hanging off the trees in this area.

This is the top of Dominic Peak taken from down by the gate. This is the burn area when Gold Creek burned a number of years ago.
