We have been seeing quite a few elk around our place lately. And quite a few calves which is good for the hunters in our family. And we came upon a pair of elk the other day riding and one did not look so good. Quite skinny and not moving so good. We have seen her a couple of times in the same area since.
The two elk with the one on the right being the sick one. |
Connie's and my mounts: Bill and Blu. These are the two horses we ride the most. And Blu on the right is Connie's jumping horse. |
A small herd of elk on the sledding hill. I think there is 6 or 7 calves in this group. |
A couple of elk at coyote flat. |
A calf waiting for it's mother to show up. |
These three elk were really nervous. They had seen me walk up the two track and did not seem upset but a little while later they were really jumpy. |
Looking southwest from Carl's point. |
Below are pictures around the house.

The rose bushes behind the cabin. |
Poppies that we got the seeds from Connie's dad. |
