ROSSEVELT LAKE 3-WALK ON VINEYARD TRAIL

Connie talked me into an early morning hike down a road (very rough) and told me we would only be gone an hour or so.  Well we hiked at least six miles and part of it was on the vineyard trail which connects up to the Arizona Trail.  Got to see some new country and lots of flowers.

A lot of hedgehogs.

We think this is a strawberry hedgehog.

Found lots of desert mariposas.

Had fun with this picture from the one below.  Not sure how it got in front of the original.

And this picture and the one below are also out of sequence.  This is of a thunderstorm that came through.  Pretty exciting for awhile.

This prickly pear right by camp what eaten on every night by some creature.  Don't have any idea.

Connie thinks this is an Arizona Mariposa but the jury is still out as she has to look in another book.

The trail headed up to the saddle where we were able to see Apache Lake.
