We have been doing our morning hikes and afternoon
walks. The cholla cactus are about to
start blooming so Connie is checking certain ones every day. Last night we had one of the best sunsets we
have had since we got down here. The sky
was very colorful that is for sure. Had
to partially break camp to take the camper down to town and get water, get rid of trash, etc.
Even to the southeast there was a little color. |
Zeph even enjoys the color. |
A hike we did the other morning to the south of us. The far mountains are in Mexico. |
A deer watching us. She did not move away and was holding up her right hind leg. |
My hiking partners. We had a map that said this little spur road went all the way through to another road but it did not so we just bushwacked it over to the Valentine Well which we go to every year. |
The base of the old loading chute at the well. |
This is a working windmill that provides water to this big tank and it then flows into a small tank the wild animals drink from. |
Some of the old railroad ties they used in the fence for the corrals. |
South Ajo peak to the left and North Ajo peak to the right. |
Sunset pictures. |
