We drove from Cathedral Gorge to Ely where we spent the night at Rob and Heather's place. Then the next morning we drove just north of Challis, ID where we camped at the Forest Service's Cottonwood Campground. My father and I used to camp here when we would fish for salmon in the 1950's so it has a little historical connection. The next morning we got up and drove on into the Bitterroot. Our cat was really glad to see us and we were glad to see her. Back to the land of flush toilets and unlimited water in the shower. Lots of things to do around here though - a downside of returning after 2 months on the road. And the second morning we were back, it snowed nearly 6 inches by the time it quit. Just about got the pickup/camper/jeep unloaded and cleaned.
This was our favorite hole for fishing and we would fish from the rock on the other side. I hooked my first salmon from that rock, didn't get it in though.
A mallard hanging around on the other side.
The dog and cat watching TV with Connie. Dell would not leave Zeph alone.
Got up to snow and it snowed off and on all morning.
Feeding the horses.

Incredible pics as usual, Frank! The banner pic at the top is just gorgeous. Also, love how much the kitty missed the pup. So sweet. See you later in the spring - we are off to Peru for a month. -Jen and Scott
