We left our
campsite in Valley of the Gods and said good bye to our neighbors Eddie,
Aileen, and Laura plus their dogs. They
are the first real cowboy and cowgirl we have met while on the Pro Leisure
Circuit. We drove into Bluff where we
spent the night in the Cottonwood RV Park as we needed to dump and get water
and get rid of the trash etc. We have
stayed there before and it is not a bad RV park. But, there is not propane in the town of
Bluff! So the next morning we drove to Blanding (24 miles) and got
our tank filled and did a little grocery shop at Carl’s Market. They had everything we needed and then
some. Drove back down south and then
drove over the Moki Dugway out to Muley Point where we camped. Great camping area and the views are
fantastic. Spent two nights there and
did some hikes and some bike riding. We
were here quite a few years ago and it has not changed that much. Took quite a few pictures (don’t I always!).
Going up the Moki Dugway.
Zeph found some more water pockets just below our campsite near the edge of the mesa.
Looking out over the San Juan.
A few dust devils on the valley floor.
Getting ready to BBQ but notice the red sand on the bumper of camper. It just gets everywhere.
The camp from the edge of the mesa.
I was a little disappointed that they tried to increase a water pockets capacity with such a sloppy job with some grey concrete. They could of at least made in reddish brown like the rocks. Even the lizard is not happy with the job.
