LAST POST FROM AJO

Leaving Ajo and headed over into New Mexico.  Met our friend Jerry for a last coffee at the plaza on Saturday and they were having a big food sale.  Bought a dozen homemade tamales that were really good.

Had T-bone steaks for supper one night.

Another pretty sunrise.

Took a drive out on the "pipeline" road east of Ajo one day.

Lots of pencil cactus and christmas cactus (below).

Found lots of water caches for the illegals. 

At one site there were the remains of an old honey operation.

Also an emergency telephone had been set up with lots of water and food.

Not sure who does all this.  When we came back by this area, more water and food had been left.
