5 February 2020:
Still out in KOFA the weather has sure changed. It was really nice and warm when we first got
here with hardly any wind. That sure
changed when a cold front that supposedly was born in the Gulf of Alaska came
roaring down with wind and very cold temperatures for Arizona. Glad we brought some down jackets and
gloves! We were enjoying the high 70’s
and then the temperature dropped to the mid 50’s for highs! We have had to run our heater just about
every morning for the last 5 days! The
cold weather seems to be behind us now and we are looking forward to warmer
temperatures in the 70’s again. Took one
long drive out in KOFA to Red Rock Pass in the wind and cold temperatures for
something to do. The roads out here have
not gotten any better. They are sure
rough.
We have hit the big flea market in Quartzsite a couple of
times and picked up a few items. I
bought a new camp chair as Zeph has kind of taken over mine. Of course, with the encouragement of
Connie! Still going for nice walks in
the mornings even if we have to wear gloves and coats. And the sunrises and sunsets here are always
a treat and I have tried to document a few.

A little sunset color. |

Our first site was pretty exposed and with the wind coming we moved to a more protected area. |

Cooking a few steaks for supper. |

The wind came and so did the dust!! |

It made for some great sunrise pictures though. |
