We are still down at KOFA and it is getting warmer. Although that is about to change the weather folks are saying. Rain is in the forecast. We were camped in some trees in some fine sand and dirt so decided to move our camp to a more rocky area if it was going to rain. We spent most of today doing that. Day before yesterday we did a great hike to the northeast of us and found some old Indian shards. We have not seen any of these in this area before. That was a great find for us.
Yesterday we hiked into the Horse Tanks further south by Stone Cabin. We had been there in 2005 and boy has it changed. After that we hiked into Grey Tank and Arch Tank. Had not been to those before. And Zeph had a great time swimming in Grey Tank.

A baby ocotilla coming out of some brush. One of the smallest ocotilla we have seen. |

Walking east on the rocky varnish covered rocks of this area |

Shards we found. |

This bunch was not far from the original ones we found and look like they would fit together pretty good. |

These old dead trees are just cool in my opinion. |

When I first saw this area I thought it was a large fire ring but after looking more closely, I think it is actually an ancient old house site. |
