27 March 2017: We have
been doing a lot of hiking in the canyons around Bluff, UT. Seeing lots of petroglyphs and ruins. Some of the hikes have been fairly easy and
others a little more difficult for this old guy. Not as nimble as I used to be that is for
sure. I am behind on my posts as we have
not had internet or good cell phone service for quite some time. We are actually in Blanding, UT at the
present time on a resupply run. Just one
night and then will be going back down to the Bluff area and finish what we had
started. Won’t be camping up on Muley
Point though as it was a little cool up there.

Lots of petroglyphs. |
Many or most of the sights don't have established trails. |
View from the top of Comb Ridge. |
This comb ridge is quite a formation. |
Another picture of sunrise on Monument Valley. |
Panoramic from Comb Ridge. |
Connie with the binocs seeing if she can find more ruins in this canyon. |
This is the sign on a gate into some BLM land with cattle behind the gate. |
Zeph is not that impressed with ruins. |
This alcove had petroglyphs on the floor instead of on the walls or ceiling. This is a first for us to ever see them like that. |
This is the view driving up the Moki Dugway which we had to do going and coming from our hikes. |
It is mostly one way traffic with pull outs.
Was impressed by these little water pockets all in a row. Work good as steps going up the slick rock. |
