20 March 2017: Drove
over to the other side of the mountains to the west and met Ross and Brenda at
Tortilla Flat for lunch. It is a long 26
miles of very rough dirt road. Not
really rough as in big dips and things, but it has lots of washboard gravel. It will shake you a lot. And there was a lot of traffic, more than we
have ever seen on that road. We did have
a good lunch with them and most of us had their hamburger which is
excellent. And a very efficient
operation it is. Ross and the bartender
got into a squirt gun fight which is an annual event I guess. The pictures of that did not turn out so
good. Anyway, on our drive over we had 2
rattlers in the road. Got them both off
before a car ran over them.
