MULEY POINT

We left the Roosevelt Lake area and stopped for the night in Payson, AZ to resupply and do a little laundry.  Then left the next morning and drove through a lot of snow before we got to Holbrook and finally ran out of it.  Then drove to Sand Island campground (BLM) just out of Bluff, UT and spent the night.  The next morning we drove up to Muley Point by going up and over the Moki dugway.  We have driven this road many times although it is very narrow and winding.  No trailers or RVs can go up it.  Found us a great campsite over looking the Monument Valley.  We have camped here for many years but it has always been warmer than it is this year.  Had to run the heater this morning!!

We had to wait quite a bit for the tribal police to clear the road from a wreck of a semi hauling hay in the town of Ganado
