REPLACING THE OLD FLAG AT THE CORVALLIS EVENTS CENTER

The Corvallis American Legion Post 91 had the senior class of Corvallis High School help us take down the old tattered flag at the school's Event Center and replace it with a new one.  The flags are large and it takes quite a few people to do it.  The kids always have a great time helping us and learn a little flag etiquette while doing it.

This is the old flag and the students are folding it.

Legion members waiting for the students to fold the flag.

It is a big flag even when folded up properly.

Putting up the new flag.  Nephew Doug is in the bucket.

"Now how does that go on there!!!"

This young lady did an excellent job of cranking up the flag.

We left the flag at half staff as First Lady Barbara Bush had just died the day before.

MADE IT HOME TO MONTANA

We drove back to Montana after a delay of a day in Willard, Utah for weather.  Cold and snow forecast with a lot of wind in Idaho.  We were parked and plugged in at Rob and Heather's place so saw no reason to leave and just let the weather blow itself out.  Had a great visit with the family in Salt Lake as we had a great Easter Dinner at Van and Wendy's place with all the family.

The weather here in Montana has been a little wet and we had snow when we first got back.  Been very busy unpacking and trying to get some of the spring things that need to be done.

Zeph and I on our morning walk in the new snow.

Had to run the heater for a few days in the camper so it did not freeze up.

Now this is a first for us.  We got back to Montana in time to witness the spring flowers by the south side of the house.

And the wildflowers are starting to bloom out in the sagebrush.
