BITTERROOT/SELWAY WILDERNESS AREA

Connie and I jumped in the jeep and drove up the Magruder road to the Selway ranger station and also up to Hells Half Acre lookout.  Had not been in that country for years.  Lots and lots of country let me tell you.

What an area.

The ranger station where the road crosses the Selway River.

The top of the sign is mostly gone but says that Hells Half Acre Lookout is 5 miles up the road.

They had a big storm go through a week or so ago at the same time we had one down in the valley and it washed out a lot of the roads.

This is where we ate lunch on the way up to the lookout.

There have been a lot of fires in the wilderness.

This is one drainage that they had to shore up to to put back the road.

Still lots of whitetails even in our corrals.

Lots of bugs on the flowers.

BAERS VISIT 2019

Niece Leslie, her husband Bill and their 4 kids came up from Salt Lake City and paid us a visit.  This is not the first time they have been here and we sure enjoy having them visit.  We had a great time and ate tooooo much and had tooooo many root beer floats!!

Bad-mitten is always played with this group.

And a day at Lake Como is a must.

Bill and Lesley out on the lake in the kayak.

We had our favorite beach to ourselves.

We did have a little rain shower that slowed up the fun!

And then the sun came out and it got warm.

The roping dummy got used also.

A few thundershowers showed up in the evenings.

A nice picnic at Rombo campground.
