JUNIOR AND HIGH SCHOOL RODEO IN DARBY

I went up to Darby to watch the rodeo nephew Jack was in.  With all the rain we have had the conditions of the arena were pretty wet and soggy.  The pictures will attest to that fact.  Connie was not feeling so good so I went by myself.

These girls are making sure the calves run towards the other end of the arena instead of turning and trying to go back to the pens.

Junior ribbon roping.  One ropes the calf, gets off and holds it and the other grabs a ribbon off the calf and runs it to the judge.

These girls are pretty good ropers.

Jack heading (he is the one with the bad leg).  They won this competition the day before.

Duston carried the goats for the goat tying in on his horse.  Greg and Teresa in the foreground.

This girl lost her boot in the mud in the goat tying.

After a couple of runs the goats had to be changed out.

Duston was starting to look a little dirty himself by the end of the goat tying.
