TURNER FAMILY VISIT

Connie's sister Wendy, brother-in-law Van, and one of their sons Christian and daughter-in-law Nicolette came up from Salt Lake and spent a week with us.  We had a great visit and caught up with all the news of the family.  Van and Wendy have come up for the 4th of July for three years now.  They really like the fireworks that Hamilton puts on.  We did some great hikes, spent some time at the lake, rode horses, and there was a little shopping involved.  Also went to the the smoke jumpers museum up in Missoula one day.  Busy is a good way to describe their visit and eating of a lot of great food another.

Waiting for dark and the fireworks.

We rented a paddle board to go with the kayaks at the lake.  Christian and Nicolette are naturals.

Connie did pretty good herself.

Como Lake is always a pretty place to hang out for the day.

And it makes a great background for pictures.

Zeph loves the lake also and kayaking is right up his alley.

Zeph thought the paddle boarding was fun also.

The visit to the smoke jumper museum.
The Twin Otter is one of their jump platforms.

Of course we hiked around our place while they were here.  I took Christian and Nicolette up to an active coyote den just to their right under the sagebrush.

Connie took them walking almost everyday first thing in the morning.
I took the younger ones up to St Mary's lookout.  Great hike but I was feeling my age on the way up.

Lunch on the sunny and leeward side of the lookout.  It was a little windy and cool on the top.

I stood on a rock to be taller than Christian!
Sharing some pictures with their friends.

Roasting marshmallows and making "smores" one night.

Looks like the perfect marshmallow to me.

And a little goofing around.
