MORE HIKING AROUND BLUFF

31 March 2017:  We ended up camping at Sand Island campground on the San Juan River as the wind has been pretty strong around here.  There are quite a few cottonwood trees to break the wind.  Have been doing some more hiking and driving around this area.  Have found some great petroglyph panels in different areas.  This post will be just a lot of pictures, some of them will be while we were still at Muley Point.

Our last evening at Muley Point.

Some sunset pictues.

One last look at a Monument Valley Sunrise.

Some ruins.

This piece of wood holding up this doorway is over a thousand years old.

Where they ground the corn.

Old walls that are still standing.

And lots of hand prints on the walls.

This site actually had a spring in the back of the alcove so they did not have to carry their water.

An old hand print.

Near the top of the Comb Ridge.

Lots of hand prints.

Zeph at the campground wondering why he can't go swimming.

And here he is catching a nap while riding in the jeep.

Driving on the Comb Wash.

The views were great.

The River Ruins.

And more petrogryphs to come.
