DRIVE HOME UP WILLOW CREEK

Connie and I drove up to Missoula today to do some shopping that we have been putting off for sometime.  We both hate going to Missoula because of the traffic.  But today we left early and got to Costco just after they opened and breezed right in and out.  Well, as fast as you can get in and out of a Costco store.  Also hit Walmart for a few things and then headed home.  When we turned up Willow Creek I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures as we are in full fall bloom around here.  Since we were moving along in the jeep some of the pictures are probably not the best as far as crisp and clear go.  I included a couple of our drive up to Missoula also.

Highway 93 north bound to Missoula.  Not much traffic early.

Around Victor we spied this hot air balloon.

On our way home and we have just turned up Willow Creek.  This is the old Hosko place that I spent some time with a school chum Danny Hosko.  Learned quite a bit about milking cows in that barn.

As with any place back then, there were always fruit trees.

Looking west across the Bitterroot Valley.

Now looking south.

These are the trees around the old Holt place.

Looking north as Connie driving east on Willow Creek just before we turn up our lane.
