A HIKE INTO BAKER LAKE

We have heard that the Baker Lake hike is a good and pretty short (no one said how steep it was though!)  We decided to combine it with our Sunday drive.  We certainly wish the visibility was better as we have a lot of smoke in our valley right now from all the fires here in Montana and in other states.  But it turned out to be a great hike and if you forgive and forget all the smoke, it was a good day.  Coming out was the worst for me.  My thighs were burning pretty bad coming down the very steep parts.

Saw these two mule deer fawns on our drive up.

You can see some of the smoke almost blocking out the mountain in the background.  Down in the valley it is much worse.

Connie and Zeph

About the only flat spot on the trail and a great view.

The lake.

Zeph wondering where to swim.

A FEW PICTURES FROM AROUND HERE

One of Connie's lilies.

A couple of whitetail bucks watching me and Zeph walk by.

Looking west from our walk the other morning.  Can't even see the mountains.
