WARMING UP IN THE DESSERT

The dessert is finally warming up and feeling normal.  And it is a lot warmer than it is at home in the Bitterroot.  We are now in Ajo having left Quartzsite and driving to Gila Bend where we hooked up our camper to all the conveniences of an RV park at the Air Force Auxiliary base's small RV park.  Then we jumped in the jeep and drove up to Scottsdale where we visited our friends Ross and Brenda.  They are doing well and have a wonderful home.  I think we were the first real guests that stayed overnight in it.  Spent a couple of nights there and then drove back to Gila Bend and picked up the camper.  And now we are settled in out in the BLM dessert south of Ajo.  Got a great campsite and one we have camped at before.  The walking here is good with quite a few hills to go up and down.  And the coyotes howl in the mornings so Zeph feels right at home.

And they have a lot of birds and wildlife hanging around.  The place is really kept natural with native vegetation.

Haven't had time to figure out what this little bird is but will soon.
